The first traces of Gambellara date back to the Lombard era, but it is viticulture that has made it famous worldwide. Garganega, the symbolic grape variety of Gambellara, is known for its versatility. Its grapes produce pleasant white wines that age elegantly. Durella, another indigenous variety of the area, stands out for its acidity and ability to produce high-quality sparkling wines.
